The Natural Way® was founded in 2017 by Laura Cleirens. From her studio in Belgium, she runs her online shop and produces and sells an exclusive range of 100 % natural, sustainable skincare products for horses.
The Natural Way specialises in the natural treatment of horses suffering from itching and skin conditions: sweet itch, mud fever and CPL.
Guided by a horse- and environment-friendly philosophy, the company selects pure and organic raw materials to guarantee the highest product quality and safety. In addition, it uses eco-friendly packaging materials that are recycled and recyclable, second-hand filling material, and orders are delivered daily by bicycle to the post office.
We ship worldwide and currently serve customers in 16 destinations: Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Ireland, Austria, Denmark and Sweden.

Laura Cleirens
Laura Cleirens is the driving force behind The Natural Way. She is a qualified herbalist, aromatherapist and nature guide, and has a background as an acupressure and sports massage therapist for horses.
Over the years, she has developed a holistic approach to her treatments, advice and interaction with horses.
At just 10 years old, Laura began collecting wild plants, started a herbarium and taught herself about their medicinal properties from herbal books.
Her first pony, Beauty, would rub her mane and tail lightly, but Yorim, the Shetland pony she took out for a ride every Sunday, would rub herself until she bled.
All sorts of products and injections proved no match for the overwhelming itch.
It was then that Laura decided she would rid horses of sweet itch and began creating her herbal remedies.
Talk about a mission!
Every day she enjoys spending time with her three beautiful mares: Nevada, Bras and Ika – her carefree summer eczema sufferer – and her half-farm’s worth of animals.
