Instructions
Very economical in use: treat for an average of 2.5 months with 200 ml Sweet itch lotion.
Shake well before use. Apply a few drops between the mane and tail or on the places where rubbing occurs, according to your horse's needs: varying from daily to several times a week. It is recommended to start with daily application and see if you can reduce it after a week, which is the case with most horses, or reapply lotion when the skin becomes drier again.
Hold the spout cap as close to the skin as possible and massage gently. You can treat small spots by dripping the lotion on your finger and applying it to the skin. You can wash with our skin-friendly Natuur Shampoo.
The product has a fresh, pleasant scent. Suitable for all skin types. Can be used with(out) an eczema blanket.
Extra information
Preferably start preventive treatment in early spring (before day and night temperatures reach 10° C) and before your horse starts to rub. But even if your horse is already rubbing or itching, Zomereczeem lotion works very effectively. Many horses are now housed without an eczema blanket thanks to this product. As an owner, it is best to estimate what is possible for your horse and experiment.
Sweet itch is a multifactorial condition. It is always advisable to examine the diet, accomodation and management and adapt it to the needs of your horse. You can read all about this in our E-book OERVOER.
Zomereczeem lotion has cleaning qualities, which can cause oily flakes to form in some horses for a short period (+- 1 to 2 weeks, usually in the spring) in the places where the lotion is applied. This process may be accompanied by skin sensitivity. By letting go of the old skin and forming new ones, stored waste products are removed and the body is cleansed. So your horse's self-healing ability is at work!
